Deborah Pryor is an innovative and highly qualified leader in the environmental industry. With over 40 years of petroleum industry experience, this seasoned executive has practical knowledge in a myriad of critical areas vital to the industry. She is a decisive leader and change agent, who methodically assesses organizational effectiveness and strategically resolves critical incidents and environmental releases. Deborah has a reputation for motivating the workforce and consultants through active and conscientious involvement, and understands the importance of teamwork for optimal results.
She has a passion for supporting community activities and advocating for minority businesses. Deborah’s successful mentoring of minority/women business enterprises (M/WBEs) led to higher M/WBEs participation and she also assisted others with identifying qualified and trained subject businesses. She received numerous personal and company recognitions for her dedicated groundbreaking services. After managing environmental projects in California and Nevada for over three decades for both Texaco and Shell, Deborah retired in December 2018.
As a graduate of the University of Southern California, Deborah earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering. She has also earned graduate credits toward an MBA and acquired several environmental certificates.
Deborah’s volunteerism dates back over four decades; she is an active member of multiple non-profit organizations and a valued Board of Directors’ member. Deborah established the Pryor Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Scholarship in 2018 and provides college scholarships to high school graduating students pursuing STEM degrees.
Deborah is the eldest of three girls and she enjoys traveling, concerts and movies. Deborah still finds the time to be a dedicated community activist with a passion for helping others. She shares, "someone helped me growing up in Compton and I too want to reach back and help others."
