Excell Program

Excell Program

LACBPE’s Excell Program is an academically innovative program which provides instruction in mathematics, science and computer science to help African-American and other minority youth in grades 2-12 with those subjects and, hopefully, foster more desires toward STEM courses of study. The program has 10 to 12-week Fall and Spring terms conducted on Saturday mornings.

Students are taught by professionals with degrees in engineering, science, mathematics, and other volunteers. These volunteers give of their time and talent to make a positive difference in the lives of the students. The students in the program come principally from the Greater Los Angeles areas, including Compton, Carson, Lynwood and Inglewood.
